Itinerary Overview

Day 01: Arrive in Delhi

Meals: On Own
Accommodation: Hotel Shanti Palace or similar

Arrive at Delhi airport / Railway station. You will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. If time permits, you can visit Sultanpur National Park or Okhla Bird Sanctuary for some birdwatching. 

Overnight stay.


Day 02: Delhi to Gir via Rajkot

Meals: Breakfast in Delhi, and Dinner in Gir
Accommodation: Gir Birding Lodge

After having breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Delhi airport for your connecting flight to Rajkot. Arrive at Rajkot airport, you will be met and transferred to Gir National Park (167 km / 4 hrs). Arrive in Gir by late afternoon. Evening is leaisure you can birding outside the national park.

Day 03: Gir National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in Gir
Accommodation: Gir Birding Lodge

Morning and evening safaris in Gir National Park. These safaris are the ideal way to explore the forests that the Asiatic Lion calls home. In addition tothe  Asiatic Lion, the park is also home to a large leopard population, as well as various other mammals. Gir also boasts a substantial bird list.

Key species: Asiatic Lion, Nilgai, Marsh Crocodile, Oriental Darter, Western Osprey, Woolly-necked Stork, Mottled Wood Owl, Spotted Owlet, Indian Scops Owl, Crested Honey Buzzard

Day 04: Gir National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in Gir
Accommodation: Gir Birding Lodge

Two more safaris in Gir National Park. Multiple safaris will not only give you better chances of great sightings, but also help you explore the forest further.

Key species: Asiatic Lion, Leopard, Indian Stone-curlew, Red-naped Ibis, Eastern Cattle Egret, Common Woodshrike, White-browed Fantail


Day 05: Gir to Little Rann of Kutch

Meals: Breakfast in Gir, and Dinner in LRK
Accommodation: Rann Riders or Similar

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to the Little Rann of Kutch (376 km / 8 hrs). Arrive Little Rann of Kutch by evening.

Day 06: Little Rann of Kutch

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in Kutch
Accommodation: Rann Riders or Similar

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in the Wild Ass Sanctuary. Bordering the desert, which floods every monsoon, are small, elevated, green islands called “bets”. These are great places to look out for shrikes, flycatchers, and more. 

Key species: Asiatic Wild Ass, Isabelline Shrike, Indian Roller, Black-winged Kite, Greater Spotted Eagle, Pallid and Montagu’s Harriers, Desert Wheatear

Day 07: Kutch to Ahmedabad to Tadoba via Nagpur

Meals: Early Breakfast in Rann Riders and Dinner in Tadoba
Accommodation: Wildlife Resort

Have your breakfast early in the morning, check out from the hotel, and drive to Ahmedabad airport (170 Km / 3.45hrs) for your connecting flight to Nagpur. Arrive at Nagpur airport and transfer to Tadoba National Park (142 Km / 3 hrs). The rest of the day is leisure.

Day 08 and 09: Tadoba

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in Tadoba
Accommodation: Wildlife Resort

Continue your journey in Tadoba with a round of morning and evening safaris for 02 days. The park is divided into many zones, each with its own unique landmarks and landscapes. Don’t forget to ask your guide and driver about Tadoba. They are highly knowledgeable, and their expertise is invaluable to your experience.

Key species: Tiger, Leopard, Spotted Deer, Brown Fish Owl, Mottled Wood Owl, Indian Paradise Flycatcher, Oriental Magpie-Robin, Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher
 



Day 10: Tadoba to Pench

Meals: Breakfast in Tadoba, Lunch and Dinner in Pench
Accommodation: Tuli Tiger Corridor

Have your breakfast early in the morning, check out from the hotel, and drive to Pench National Park (223 km / 4.40 hrs). Arrive at Pench by 1300 hrs, have your lunch, and head for the afternoon safari in the national park.

Key species: Tiger, Leopard, Indian Wild Dog, Sambar, White-eyed Buzzard, Indian Roller, Indian Peafowl, Black-hooded Oriole

Day 11: Pench National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in Pench
Accommodation: Tuli Tiger Corridor

Explore the wilderness of Pench with morning and afternoon jeep safaris. If possible, you can visit Khamba, a nearby tribal village inhabited by the Gond people. Originally forest dwellers, the Gond have a deep respect for wildlife.

Key species: Tiger, Leopard, Spotted Deer, Northern Plains Langur, Crested Serpent Eagle, White-rumped Vulture, Lesser Whistling Duck

Day 12: Pench to Kanha National Park

Meals: Breakfast in Pench, Lunch and Dinner in Kanha
Accommodation: Tuli Tiger Resort

After having an early morning breakfast, drive to Kanha National Park (208 Km / 4 hrs). Arrive in Kanha by 1200 hrs, check in at the hotel, and have your lunch.  You will go for the afternoon jeep safari to the National Park for big cat tracking and wildlife viewing.

Day 13: Kanha National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Accommodation: Tuli Tiger Resort

Explore the wilderness of Kanha and search for the beautiful Tiger, with morning and afternoon safaris. This tiger haven is the largest national park in Central India, and is home not only to Tigers, Leopards, and Sloth Bears, but also to the Hard-ground Barasingha (also known as the Southern Swamp Deer). From the lush evergreen Sal forests to the Kanha meadows, this park has a variety of habitats, each with its own unique mix of birds and mammals. If possible, visit one of the local tribal villages, inhabited by the Baiga people, and learn more about their culture and lifestyles. Unfortunately, their original homes were relocated when creating the national park.

Day 14: Kanha to Nagpur to Delhi

Meals: Breakfast in Kanha
Accommodation: Hotel Shanti Palace

After breakfast, transfer to Jabalpur airport (160 Km / 4 hrs) for the connecting flight back to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is leisure, or you can explore the local market on your own.

Day 15: Delhi to Departure

Accommodation: None

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi airport for your connecting flight back home. Tour Ends.
